I remember doing my own nails for the first time โ it wasnโt perfect at all, but I felt so accomplished. It made me realize how much I enjoy the process, and that itโs okay to start small. Everyone has a first time! ๐

The first time I did nails was for a close friend before her wedding. ๐ธ She was nervous about the big day, and I thought giving her a personalized manicure could be my way of helping her feel special. ๐
When I finished, her smile made my day, and I felt so proud to be a part of her memorable moment! It was the start of my passion for nail art.

I'm self-taught and have done my own nails since I was 10, starting with polish. My mom got me an acrylic kit at 14, which was a messy disaster! I've used acrylics on and off but avoid monomer due to migraines. Iโve always preferred DIY over salons. My first e-file was a clunky Dremel, hard to use and heavy. Back then, supplies were tough to get without a license. Ten years ago, I bought a $400-$500 Kupa e-fileโbetter but heavy, with an uncontrollable foot pedal! Now, Iโm thrilled e-files are lighter and quality products are accessible to everyone.

โจ Iโll never forget the first time I did nails for my best friend, and I was so nervous! I had just gotten my license and was still building confidence, but she trusted me. That one simple set reminded me why I fell in love with nails in the first placeโmaking people feel beautiful and cared for ๐

The first time I did my mom's set...It took me forever to do the nail prep cause I was too worried about burns or over-filing. Then the gel polish application was just ok. Not bad. ๐
