I created a Mexican summer nail design. I went to Mexico last year and bought a few culinary miniatures which I thought would look nice as nail charms.

And with Mexico being one of the hosts for the World Cup it was just perfect to make some vacation/ summer nails for Mexico.

I choose these colors because they perfectly capture the energetic and lively spirit of Mexico.

The coverage of the colors is amazing. One coat is often sufficient. If it's a more of a pastel shade than you might need two coats depending on how you are going to use it.

The consistency is just perfect I would say. The gradient painting gels are more solid than the 'normal' gel polishes. But you can work with them as well as the others.

I like to work with thin layers to avoid bumps or uncured gel pockets while curing it in the lamp. If you take care of that there will be no issues with the curing process.

The gels from the bottles apply like butter, smooth and easy. The gradient painting gels not so much, it depends on your brush and how you are actually applying it, with less or more pressure, thin or thick layers. It can leave visible streaks behind, but the more you practice the easier it gets.

I like different formulas for different things- the gradient painting gels gels are perfect for gradient and ombré designs but also for adding texture to your nail designs. This formula is also easier to control because it doesn't move/flow.

I sculpted the signs and the little cactus in the corner, did the lettering and added a few World Cup stickers to complete the set.
